After re-designing and launching their new website in 2018 on WordPress and WooCommerce the business had hit a ceiling with their existing development partner and were looking for a partner to help them move to the next level. Their brief to us was to initially help them improve the overall performance of their website through optimisation of the codebase and infrastructure, then plan in a series of new functional developments ahead of peak trading periods to maximise their marketing efforts.
After an initial deep-dive into the codebase we identified a long list of minor tweaks and changes to help speed up the website and improve it’s rating in Google Lighthouse and other SEO benchmarking tools.
There was also some cleaning up of plug-ins that either were not needed or had been left to lapse for too long which was all having a negative impact on the sites performance and ability to update the core code. We then began our development processes with the team and planned in a series of 2 weeks development sprints to deliver some much needed new functionality for their marketing plans.
Easy to create, modular landing pages
were created from scratch, firstly by our design team and then by our front end team to build a modular element to the admin area which allow the Tala team to now create and publish beautiful landing pages for specific purposes.

in-time for peak Xmas gifting trade, this was aismply solution of identifying the right plug-in to achieve Tala’s desired outcomes and then style and launch across their global websites.
Step by Step update of code
in a priority order we worked through each element of the code review performing small releases periodically to improve areas of the site that were underperforming or causing issues.
The Client has been given more confidence in their ability to spend their marketing budgets and is now able to create specific campaigns and deliver a full end to end customer experience tailored to the specific demographic. The gift card product has been launched to their global audience in time for christmas and we are already planning further developments for 2020.
